Low Light Cameras
Why are we different?... Military grade ultra-low-light-cameras.
Alternative suppliers of CCTV cameras offer 'off the shelf' cameras from
manufacturers such as Sony, Panasonic and Sharp. Whilst these are
reputable manufacturers, they are supplying to the mass market and
therefore are providing cameras that offer high-performance to the general
market.
In technical terms, these traditional cameras offer the ability to operate down to low light, but suffer in total darkness or moonlight where they have to interlace (build up several pictures one on top of another to generate and image in low light) their pictures to give a displayable image, and as such offer blurred or 'streaky' images at night.
VIT Innovation have been the distributor of EVS cameras in the UK since 2002 and can offer their ultra low light camera range to military, police and now commercial clients.
These cameras were developed during the 'cold war' and operate at a sensitivity of over 150 times greater than traditional camera manufacturers. We have been supplying these to police and military customers for many years for use in darkened and zero light areas.
Our Stealth kits are supplied with this unique ultra-low light-camera
technology, and this provides the benefits of capturing registration
plates and evidential images of persons at night and even in pitch
darkness (using covert infra-red lighting).
When you are deploying a fly-tipping solution, using a traditional cameras would be similar to putting a Formula one car on the track with re-mould tyres. If you are deploying recording equipment in the field the initial limiting factor will be the quality of the image. If the image is poor or unusable, regardless of your recording solution, you will not get an evidential or usable result.
